What is Russellville Sister Cities?

Russellville Sister Cities (RSC) is a nonprofit endorsed by the city of Russellville and dedicated to fostering mutual understanding, educational and cultural exchanges, international cooperation and peace through person-to-person citizen diplomacy.

Enghien, Belgium is currently Russellville’s Friendship City and both cities are working on becoming Sister Cities.

What are “Sister Cities”?

The first stage is “Friendship City:” a short term and less formal agreement between two cities from different countries to foster cooperation and understanding through citizen diplomacy and involvement.

The second stage is “Sister Cities:” a long term and more formal agreement between the two cities.

Developing respect, understanding, and cooperation through citizen diplomacy and involvement which will contribute to world peace and prosperity.

Our Mission

Fostering friendly and positive relationships between the citizens of Russellville, AR and Enghien, Belgium by creating virtual and in-person exchanges in the areas of the arts, education, tourism, business, sports, civic activities, and government.

Our Plan: Connecting Communities

Russellville Sister Cities (RSC) plans to build bridges through interpersonal exchanges to establish lasting cultural friendships between the people of Russellville, AR and Enghien in Belgium.

Our first project is to offer selected Russellville High School (RHS) students a scholarship to offset the expenses to go and visit Enghien and Belgium in May 2027. To do so, RSC collects donations to create those scholarships.

The RHS student selection form will be available in August 2026.
